The Perfect Fit Service
Make sure that the shoes fit! Buying shoes online can be daunting, especially when they’re a custom design and for a special occasion. To help, Ellie Wren offers its “Perfect Fit” shoe fitting service.
To be eligible for the Perfect Fit, you must make a $50 deposit toward your custom wedding shoe design. The deposit covers trying on the shoes as well as the time and effort Ellie Wren has put into your design ideas thus far and will be credited toward the final price of your custom wedding shoes. In addition, you will need to pay for shipping the shoes to you, which is a worldwide $15 flat fee. Your total Perfect Fit participation charges will be $65.
The base shoes that we use for your design will then be mailed to you and they should arrive within 7-10 business days (or 14-21 business days for international brides). They will arrive in white with any original adornments. The Perfect Fit shoes must be returned to Ellie Wren at the address below within ten (10) business days (unless an extended period of time for fittings, etc. has been approved by Ellie Wren). Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping – we recommend USPS Priority Mail for domestic participants, as it’s the most cost effective and is trackable. The “Perfect Fit” option will add approximately 7-10 days (14-21 days if international) to the total production time for your custom shoes.
The base shoes used by Ellie Wren typically fit true-to-size; however, the only way to ensure a perfect fit is to try the shoes on before the custom work is completed. If, for some reason, your Perfect Fit shoes do not fit, you may elect to have a second pair sent to you, but you will be responsible for shipping costs on the second pair ($15) and the second pair will not be shipped until Ellie Wren has received the return of the first Perfect Fit pair (unless Ellie Wren approves different arrangements).
If you elect not to move forward with your custom shoes after participating in the Perfect Fit program and you return The Perfect Fit try on shoes within 10 days and the shoes are in new condition, Ellie Wren will credit you back 50% of your $50 deposit. Brides that do not return their Perfect Fit shoes (or the shoes are returned in damaged condition) will not receive a credit. The credit will not include the $15 shipping costs or any other shipping costs incurred in connection with the Perfect Fit program. Please note that, because of the wide variety of shoe styles that we offer and the custom nature of what we do, we are unable to carry inventory of every shoe in every size, so we do purchase each pair of shoes for brides to try on. If a bride elects not to move forward with the design, then we incur restocking fees to return the shoes. This is why we retain 50% of the cost for those brides electing not to move forward.
Please also note that Ellie Wren has partnerships with a number of manufacturers, including Paradox London, Benjamin Walk and Christy NG, for the base shoes used in our designs. We also have a small number of designs that are our own line. If you have questions about the base shoes used in your design, please make sure to ask us before you place your Perfect Fit order.
